Join renowned music photographer Sherry Rayn Barnett in conversation with Tiffany Naiman, PhD to find out what it takes, what it means, and how to have a sustained career in the music industry as a photographer.

Sherry Rayn Barnett is a celebrated music photographer whose live performance images span five decades, capturing icons like Joni Mitchell, Miles Davis, Janis Joplin, Prince, Nina Simone, BB King, and Tina Turner. Her work is on permanent display at The Forum in Los Angeles, C.F. Martin Guitar Museum, and has been seen in major documentaries such as Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice, Laurel Canyon, The Go-Go’s, and Joni Mitchell: Woman of Heart & Mind. Her first book, Eye of the Music, spotlights her career from 1969 to 1989, praised as “a feast for eyes and souls.” Sherry continues her work in Los Angeles, licensing her photographs for publications, exhibitions, and private collections.
